Day 1: Entebbe-Fly to Bwindi National park
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, departing with the afternoon flight to Kihihi Airstrip in Bwindi (Departs at 1245 arriving at 1355. You will enjoy the Ariel view of the beautiful changing Landscape. The flight is only for 2 hours o the lushest highland rain forest on earth, filled with primates and exotic birds, valleys, hilltops and papyrus swamps. On your arrival to either Kihihi you will be transferred with our vehicle to you Lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at either Buhoma Lodge/Mahogany Springs (high end lodge) or Sliver back Lodge (Mid range) Meal plan: Lunch and Dinner
Day 2: Bwindi Gorilla Trekking
Begin the day with breakfast ready for trekking, which begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the UWA staff. Ensure to carry along with you rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots etc The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy Primates for a group you have been booked for. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The tracking may take between 2 and 6 hours but it’s well worth the effort. Time permitting, go for a Batwa village visit. The Village Walk gives you a great opportunity to see how the people surrounding Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. It also is a great way to support the local community in a direct way. The Walk begins with your guide at your Rest Camp and is most informative, rewarding to the average visitor. It will amaze you how resourceful the local people are as you see and learn their ways. Day 3: Full day Bwindi Village Community Tour
Today is dedicated for a Community tour. Your first stop is a handicraft shop run by the community women´s group. The primary school visit gives an insight into life as a rural child in Buhoma, as you meet the friendly teachers and pupils.
You are sure to see many, many bananas on your travels through Uganda – and this tour concludes with an explanation of the different types – along with a demonstration of how they are used. Day 4: Bwindi to the Airstrip fly back to Entebbe
You have 2 flight options returning from Bwindi, you may choose to catch up a morning flight at 1055 arriving Entebbe 1155 or with the afternoon flight departing Bwindi at 1405 arriving 1505 to Entebbe. Whatever you choose our guide will be ready to transfer you to the Airstrip to catch up your return flight from Bwindi to Entebbe for your onward flight to your next destination.
