Day 1: Arrival Entebbe Airport-Entebbe

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our guide who will then take you to The Boma Hotel Entebbe or Cassia Lodge in Kampala (Mid facility) for dinner and an overnight stay. Meal plan Dinner

Day 2: Kampala- Kibale Forests

Leave Kampala after breakfast for the fascinating drive through papyrus swamps and thick jungle of the Nile Delta to Kibale National Park just under the Ruwenzori Mountains. Afternoon guided Bigodi walk in the crater lakes area of the park for outstanding bird watching or take one of the trails in the Park to look for the stunning Green-breasted Pitta, Fire-crested Alethe, Scaly-breasted Illadopsis, colorful butterflies and other species of primates. Meals and overnight at Primate Lodge –Forest Cottages (Mid Lodge). Meal plan: (B, L, D)

Day 3: Kibale National Park-Queen Elizabeth Park

In the morning you will have breakfast to transfer to Kibale Head quarters for briefing before setting off for a forest walk in search for chimpanzees. The forest walk will be guided to provide information not only on
chimpanzees and primates but also on small organisms making it interesting. The walk will reward you with other primates like Grey cheeked Mangabeys, Colobus monkeys, Red-tailed monkeys, phoestes, and butterflies. After tracking the chimps in the afternoon drive to Queen Elizabeth Park ready for an evening two hour Boat cruise along the famous Kazinga channel is worthwhile an opportunity to see Hippo, Bufallo, Kobs, Elephants, warthogs etc. This trip also enables visitor chance to see spectacular birds.  Dinner and overnight at Enganzi Lodge (Mid Lodge) Meal Plan Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 4: Queen Elizabeth Park-Bwindi

Begin your day with a cup of coffee. Early morning game drive along Kasenyi and Queens Mile makes visitors encounter elephants, buffalo, water bucks, warthogs, lions, Uganda Kobs lakes and a variety of birds. Thereafter drive through the Ishasha Sector; this takes you through the unique western rift valley escarpment. If time allows take on a mini game drive in Ishasha sector in search of tree climbing lions before proceeding to Bwindi forest National Park.  This is the lushest highland rain forest on earth, filled with primates and exotic birds. Day 5: BWINDI-Gorilla trek

Begin the day with breakfast ready for trekking, which begins at 8:00 a.m with a briefing from the UWA staff. Ensure to carry along with you rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots etc The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy Primates for a group you have been booked for. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. There are now only 650 left in the world! The tracking may take between 2 and 6 hours but it’s well worth the effort. Day 6: Bwindi-Kampala

After early breakfast, drive back to Kampala. Continue your drive to the Equator crossing with your lunch enroute. Overnight and meals at Cassia Lodge (Mid facility) Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 7: Mabamba Wetland –Entebbe Airport Out

We have an early transfer to Mabamba wetland swamp of Mabamba enroute to Entebbe Airport The highlight at Mabamba Swamp is a search for the prehistoric looking Great shoebill stork. Here we also find some aquatic birds and marsh Harriers, if time allow search for the beautiful painted Pygmy goose. You will be later be dropped off at Entebbe International Airport for your flight back home. Meal plan: Breakfast & Lunch End of service

Information Note for Passengers Departing from Rwanda.

  • Travelers should monitor for MVD symptoms, including fever, severe headaches, muscle aches, vomiting, and diarrhea, before departing from Rwanda and seek medical advice immediately if they experience these symptoms.
  • Expect routine temperature checks using Thermo-Scan Cameras and the use of hand sanitizing stations.
  • All passengers exiting the country will be asked to answer a short symptom-screening questionnaire with RBC staff to ensure their well-being and the safety of others. Alternatively, passengers can complete a declaration form here, download the QR code, and present it upon arrival at the airport.
