Day 1: Arrival Kigali Airport-Kigali Hotel.
The arrival of your flight at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our outside customs and immigration hall, Safari briefing then an introduction to your driver-guide. Transfer to Retreat Kigali or Kigali Marriott Hotel for overnight stay and dinner. Meal plan-Dinner. BOOK NOW
Day 2: Kigali – Volcanoes National Park (02h30 Drive).
08h00: Breakfast at the hotel, check out and settlement of extras, you will visit the Gisozi Genocide Memorial Center and Inema Arts Center.
Highlight: After the 1994 unspeakable awfulness, several burial places in the country were established as memorial sites. They include the Kigali Genocide Memorial where 250,000 genocide victims were buried. Learn about Rwanda’s history from pre-colonial times to the 1994 genocide; Learn about other genocides in the world and how this country has dealt with that past.
Afternoon lunch and have a leisurely drive to Musanze& VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK. Arrive in the evening at 17h00 and check-in at the lodge. Leisure. Day 3: Gorilla trekking Day & Cultural Experience.
Early morning transfer at the Park headquarters, arrive in time for briefing before you start your guided walk at 08h00in search of the Gorillas. The Volcanoes National Park is a forested area in the Virunga Mountains that borders Rwanda, Uganda, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. This is Rwanda’s premier tourist attraction, with the mist-covered volcanoes of the Virunga being one of only two locations in the world where you can track a habituated family group of mountain gorillas. The high point will be spending an hour with the remarkably peaceful gorillas despite their size and appearance as they go about their daily life, feeding, playing, resting, and raising their young.
After this memorable experience, you will return to the lodge for lunch followed by brief rest.
This afternoon you will visit the Ibyi Iwacu village for a cultural experience. While most of the focus of Volcanoes National Park falls squarely onto the animals, this ‘cultural village’ puts the spotlight back onto the people. Visitors get to experience Rwandan village life by grinding seeds, firing bows and arrows, taking part in a traditional intore dance, and even partaking in the marriage of a king to his queen. After this amazing experience, you will descend from the mountains.

Day 4: Golden Monkey trek in Rwanda.
Today, you have an early breakfast check out, settlement of extras, and transfer to the park headquarters for Golden monkey trekking briefing. The Tracking usually takes about 4 hrs. Once you come to the habituated families, you will spend the allowed one hour with them as they go about their daily life.
Trekking to see the golden monkeys is another highlight of Volcanoes National Park. The Golden Monkey (Cercopithecus Mitis Kandti) is a local subspecies of the widespread Sykes Monkey, also known as the “Blue Monkey” and is endemic to the high altitude forests. The monkeys are playful and inquisitive and often spend their time leaping from bamboo branches or frolicking on the forest floor. There are two habituated groups of Golden Monkey, one group comprises around 80 – 100 members and has its home at the foot of Mt Sabyinyo.

Day 5: Authentic Village Walk Combined With A Visit To Gasura Nursery School.
After breakfast at 08:00 am you will drive for 40minutes to Gasura village to learn more about the lifestyle of Rwandese in their community, you do homes visit, interact with the local people active in their daily activities where you will be free to participate in some of the activities alongside this tour you will visit Gasura Nursery school and get a chance to learn more on education development while interacting with smiling kids who are enjoying an early education development as another way to enhance the local people living standards, The other highlight for this tour is that you always have a perfect view of the volcanoes as the Village is situated on the foot of this volcanoes-one of its kind. This tour will take about four consecutive hours and the trail is very easy it does involve any hiking trail.

Day 6: Banana Beer Brewery Experience.
After breakfast at 08:00 a.m, we shall drive for 20minutes to Muko village with vast banana plantations where the tourists learn how local people grow bananas, different banana species, ripening process, demonstration of making beer, visiting different families for further demonstration, historical background of home-made beer in Rwanda, a visit to a local pub where local home-made beers are being served and enjoy the interaction with people who are involved in the tour. On this tour guest is encouraged to c take part in all these activities and the takes approx…4hours.

Day 7: Visit Ex-Hunters Community
After breakfast at 08:00a.m, drive for 40minutes to Kagano village, walk through local communities of formerly marginalized people who lived in the forest for many years. You will learn more about these peoples’ lives in the forest through their beautiful stories, dances, and songs. As these people relied on bushmeat for survival through poaching, they will also present traditional materials they were using to trap animals, which was the only source of obtaining food in the forest. It is interesting to hear their journey from a poacher to a conservationist!
After about 3hours of experience in this community, you will go back to the hotel and enjoy your afternoon at leisure.

Day 8: Optional Visit the Twin Lakes OR Depart Volcanoes National Park – KIGALI (02h30 Drive) City Tour.
Today, OPTIONAL Twin lake visit for a canoe boat ride experience between the two lakes OR check out, settle extras and drive back to KIGALI. Time permitting visit the Genocide memorial center.
