8 Days Uganda Chimpanzee Tour, gorilla trekking & wildlife safari

Day 1: Arrival Entebbe Airport (Travel time +10 mins)

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our guide who will then take you The Boma Hotel in Entebbe (Mid range) or Entebbe Airport Guest House (Budget end) for an overnight and dinner. Meal plan Dinner

Day 2: Kampala-Kibale National Park (Travel time +5hrs)

Leave Kampala after breakfast for the fascinating drive through papyrus swamps and thick jungle of the Nile Delta to Kibale National Park just under the Ruwenzori Mountains. Afternoon guided walk in the crater lakes area of the park for outstanding cultural visit. Meals and over night at Primate Lodge -Forest Cottage (Mid Lodge) or Chimpanzee Guest House (Budget facility). Meal plan: (B, L, D)

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking Kibale

In the morning you will have breakfast to transfer to Kibale Head quarters for briefing before setting off for a forest walk in search for chimpanzees. The forest walk will be guided to provide information not only on
chimpanzees and primates but also on small organisms making it interesting. The walk will reward you with other primates like Grey cheeked Mangabeys, Colobus monkeys, Red-tailed monkeys, phoestes, and butterflies. After tracking the chimps in the afternoon you will go for a nature walk to the Bigodi swamp- to see unique flora and fauna. Meals and overnight at Primate Lodge –Forest Cottages (Mid Lodge) or Chimpanzee Guest House (Budget facility). Meal plan: (B, L, D)

Day 4: Kibale National Park –Queen Elizabeth Park (Travel time +2hrs)

Begin your morning with breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth ready for an afternoon two hour Boat cruise along the famous Kazinga channel is worthwhile an opportunity to see Hippo, Bufallo, Kobs, Elephants, warthogs etc. This trip also enables visitor chance to see spectacular birds.  Dinner and overnight Enganzi Lodge (Mid Lodge) or Simba Safari Camp (Budget Facility) Meal Plan Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth-Bwindi (Travel time +4hrs)

Thereafter drive through the Ishasha Sector; this takes you through the unique western rift valley escarpment. Day 6: BWINDI-Gorilla trek

Begin the day with breakfast ready for trekking, which begins at 8:00 a.m with a briefing from the UWA staff. Ensure to carry along with you rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots etc The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy Primates for a group you have been booked for. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. There are now only 650 left in the world! The tracking
may take between 2 and 6 hours but it’s well worth the effort. Dinner and overnight stay at Sliver back Lodge/Chameleon Hill Lodge (Mid range) or Buhoma community Bandas/Wagtail Eco Camp (Budget facility) Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 7: Bwindi – Lake Mburo NP (Travel time +4hrs)

After early breakfast, drive to Lake Mburo National Park. Proceed to the park do an enroute game drive as you go to check in at your lodge. An afternoon boat ride amidst hippos is much rewarding and amazing. Overnight stay at Rwakobo Safari Lodge (Mid Lodge) or Eagles Nest Lake Mburo (Budget facility) Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 8: Lake Mburo-Entebbe Departure (Travel time +4.5hrs)

After early breakfast, morning is dedicated for a bush walk and a game drive in the Park which is an is an extension of the Tanzanian Plains with big herds of Zebra, Impala, Eland , Warthogs ,buffalo and other savannah species. Information Note for Passengers Departing from Rwanda.

  • Travelers should monitor for MVD symptoms, including fever, severe headaches, muscle aches, vomiting, and diarrhea, before departing from Rwanda and seek medical advice immediately if they experience these symptoms.
  • Expect routine temperature checks using Thermo-Scan Cameras and the use of hand sanitizing stations.
  • All passengers exiting the country will be asked to answer a short symptom-screening questionnaire with RBC staff to ensure their well-being and the safety of others. Alternatively, passengers can complete a declaration form here, download the QR code, and present it upon arrival at the airport.
