8 Days Uganda gorillas & wildlife safari via Kigali Rwanda

Day 1: Kigali –Bwindi

Pick up from your Airport on arrival, drive north later transferring to Uganda. Enjoy the winding scenery with lunch enroute. Dinner and overnight stay at Silver back Lodge (Mid lodge facility) Meal plan: Lunch and Dinner

Day 2: Bwindi Gorilla Trekking

Begin the day with breakfast ready for trekking, which begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the UWA staff. Ensure to carry along with you rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots etc The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy Primates for a group you have been booked for. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The tracking may take between 2 and 6 hours but its well worth the effort. Time permitting; the afternoon is spent on a village walk. The Buhoma Village Walk gives you a great opportunity to see how the people surrounding Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. It also is a great way to support the local community in a direct way. The Walk begins with your guide at Buhoma Community Rest Camp and is most informative, rewarding to the average visitor. It will amaze you how resourceful the local people are as you see and learn their ways.  Dinner and overnight stay at Silverback Lodge (Mid lodge facility) Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 3: Bwindi-Queen Elizabeth

Begin your day with a cup of African coffee, ready for the drive to Queen Elizabeth North of Bwindi via Ishasha sector. The drive takes you through the unique western rift valley escarpment and the (southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park) Ishasha sector where you will take on a mid morning game drive in search of tree climbing lions. After lunch drive to Mweya Side of Queen Elizabeth the journey takes about 3 hours but driving through interesting features. Dinner and overnight stay at Enganzi Lodge. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 4: Queen Elizabeth

Begin your day with a cup of coffee. Early morning game drive along Kasenyi and Queens Mile makes visitors encounter elephants, buffalo, water bucks, warthogs, lions, Uganda Kobs lakes and a variety of birds. Return to the lodge for breakfast and lunch. After lunch, a two hour boat trip along the famous Kazinga channel is worthwhile an opportunity to see Hippo, Buffalo, Kobs, Elephants, warthogs etc. This trip also enables visitor chance to see spectacular birds. Dinner and overnight stay at Enganzi Lodge. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth -Kibale Forest national Park

Drive to Kibale Forest National Park. Kibale is the best reserve in Africa to view chimps, a thick jungle with a towering canopy using Kasese-Fort Portal road. Enjoy the winding scenery of the foot hills of Mt. Rwenzori arriving in Fort Portal for lunch. The afternoon is spent on a guided walk in the crater lakes area of the park for outstanding cultural visit. Dinner and overnight at Primate Lodge –Forest Cottages (Mid Lodge facility) Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 6: Chimpanzee trek –Kampala

In the morning you will have breakfast to transfer to Kibale Head quarters for briefing before setting off for a forest walk in search for chimpanzees. The forest walk will be guided to provide information not only on chimpanzees and primates but also on small organisms making it interesting. The walk will reward you with other primates like Grey cheeked Mangabeys, Colobus monkeys, Red-tailed monkeys, phoestes, and butterflies. After primate walk, proceed to Kampala. Overnight stay at Cassia Lodge (Mid facility) overlooking Lake Victoria Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 7: Rafting Full day

Morning drive to Jinja the adventure capital for a morning Rafting session that will take you a whole day. Here you choose to raft in the paddle-powered boats for one of the wildest raft rides on the planet, or opt to be rowed downstream by our professional guides in the safety raft. After a buffet lunch you will hit a series of more wild rapids and wind the evening with BBQ snacks after rafting. Return to Kampala for dinner and overnight at Cassia Lodge (mid range). Day 8: Transfer to Entebbe Out

Depending on your flight time back home or to your next destination. Today is dedicated for your airport transfer to catch up with your outbound flight to Nairobi End of service Meal plan B End of service

Information Note for Passengers Departing from Rwanda.

  • Travelers should monitor for MVD symptoms, including fever, severe headaches, muscle aches, vomiting, and diarrhea, before departing from Rwanda and seek medical advice immediately if they experience these symptoms.
  • Expect routine temperature checks using Thermo-Scan Cameras and the use of hand sanitizing stations.
  • All passengers exiting the country will be asked to answer a short symptom-screening questionnaire with RBC staff to ensure their well-being and the safety of others. Alternatively, passengers can complete a declaration form here, download the QR code, and present it upon arrival at the airport.
