Day 1: Kampala–Bwindi
Our guide/driver picks you at 7:30 am from your hotel or place of residence in Entebbe or Kampala. Drive to Mbarara (283 km from Kampala) via Masaka. Make a first stop over at Equator crossing for snacks and photography. Proceed with a visit to Igongo Cultural village this is more rewarding and amazing as you visit the Ankole museum. Lunch break is made at Agip Motel Mbarara. After lunch, drive to Bwindi. This is the lushest highland rainforest on earth, filled with primates and exotic birds, valleys, hilltops and papyrus swamps. Dinner and overnight stay at either Buhoma Lodge/Mahogany Springs/Gorilla Safari Lodge (high end lodge) or Silverback Lodge/Chameleon Hill Lodge (Mid range) or Buhoma community Bandas/Wagtail Eco Camp (Budget facility) Meal plan: Lunch and Dinner
Day 2: Bwindi Gorilla Trekking
Begin the day with breakfast ready for trekking, which begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the UWA staff. Ensure to carry along with you rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots etc The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy Primates for a group you have been booked for. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The tracking may take between 2 and 6 hours but its well worth the effort. Day 3: Second Gorilla trekking
After breakfast, you will go for the second gorilla track but in another group returning in the afternoon for relaxation and sightseeing around the lodge. Day 4: Bwindi-Queen Elizabeth
Early morning drive in to Ishasha for a mid morning will be spent on a game drive for the tree climbing lions and other great mammals before proceeding to the Mweya section. The journey takes about 3 hours but driving through interesting features. Lunch break at Mweya Safari Lodge. After lunch, take on an afternoon Launch cruise along Kazinga Channel – one that joins Lakes Edward and George. The cruise is a wonderful way to see hippo, buffalo, Kob and the occasional Nile crocodile (which up until recently did not inhabit this area) and a spectacular bird watching on the water bank. Many who experience the launch cruise consider it the high light of their entire African safari. Dinner and overnight stay at Mweya Safari Lodge (High end) or Enganzi Lodge (Mid Lodge facility) or Simba Safari Camp (Budget facility) Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Day 5: Queen Elizabeth –Entebbe Out
Begin your day with a cup of coffee. Early morning game drive along Kasenyi and Queens Mile makes visitors encounter elephants, buffalo, water bucks, warthogs, lions, Uganda Kobs lakes and a variety of birds. Thereafter drive back to Kampala using Kasese-Fort Portal road via Queen Elizabeth National Park for enroute game viewing if you are lucky you may spot the Elephants, Antelopes and the Warthogs. A stop over at the Equator line in Kasese. Enjoy the winding scenery of the foothills of Mt. Rwenzori arriving in Fort Portal for lunch thereafter continue to Kampala or Entebbe for your outgoing flight back home or to your nest destination Meal Plan B-L End of Service
