CHOGM in Rwanda will be held in Kigali City. Speaking on the announcement President Kagame said: “Rwanda is pleased to welcome all delegates and participants to Kigali for a safe and productive CHOGM Rwanda 2022.

We are delighted to start this year with a more positive outlook on how CHOGM in Rwanda is going to impact our tourism industry with so many guests seeking to explore and discover this remarkable country as we emerge from the challenging circumstances of the last two years.

Now that travel restrictions have eased up, borders have reopened and airline operations are mostly back to schedule, we are hopeful that guests are able to travel to Rwanda with less difficulty. Rwanda is home to mountain gorillas and golden monkeys. Gorilla trekking in Rwanda is such a life-changing experience that everyone would seek to dive in and witness and this could be the best time to experience the most amazing primates ever.
