The Gorilla trekking day in Bwindi Forest National Park starts very early in the morning with breakfast at your lodge/camp. Thereafter transferred to the Gorilla trekking briefing point where officials from Uganda Wildlife Authority checks and validates your Gorilla trekking permits for the day.
Note: You MUST obtain a Gorilla permit to track Mountain Gorillas in Uganda. It is also very important that you arrive and overnight in Bwindi the day before your actual Gorilla trekking day
Entry into Gorilla sanctuary. This rain forest is spectacular. It offers a dramatic steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense, but criss-crossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. Mammals recorded include the endangered mountain gorilla, rare golden monkey. This park is best known for the fascinating gorillas. On your gorilla trekking day, It is advisable not to forget the comfortable walking shoes, such as solid jungle shoes for trekking, running shoes with socks, are recommended over sandals. And for Hand ware during gorilla trekking especially hand gloves (mitten) to cover your hands. The jungle has thorns on its trees and shrubs so touching on them will injure you fingers

A gorilla visit can entail from half an hour to 5-hour trek through the forest, led by experienced trackers who have spent their entire lives living in or close to the forest. Your trek will be enchanting as you weave through overhanging vines, moss-covered Hagenia trees and giant Lobelias that thrive in the tropical climate. You may spot golden monkeys or see buffalo, bush duiker and a wide variety of bird life.
