Rwanda is a stunning destination to explore its remote places. Even without gorillas, you can visit Lake Kivu, for the sublime inland beaches and perfect coves for discovery by canoe. kayaking on Lake Kivu is a popular experience. The South-Western Parc National Nyungwe Forest is an epic rainforest (the largest in the region). And the people are welcoming and warm, belying the horrific events here in the 1990s.

Witness wildlife from a different perspective, In the northwest of the country lies  Parc National des Volcans, home to mountain gorillas which remains the biggest attraction, with over 300 mountain gorillas in the bamboo forest on the upper slopes. This is the perfect location from which to experience one of life’s most unforgettable moments – tracking and observing the mesmerizing gorillas in one of Africa’s most beautiful, evocative settings. Not only are these animals magical to see in real life, but just by visiting them, you are contributing to their survival.
