Day 1: Arrival Entebbe Airport-Kampala (Travel time 1hr)
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our guide who will then take you to Serena Kampala Hotel-Executive room (High end) for an overnight and dinner. Meal plan Dinner.
Day 2: Kampala-Kibale National Park (Travel time +4hr)
Leave Kampala after breakfast for the fascinating drive through papyrus swamps and thick jungle of the Nile Delta to Kibale National Park just under the Ruwenzori Mountains. Afternoon guided walk in the crater lakes area of the park for outstanding cultural visit. Meals and overnight at Kyaninga Lodge (Lodge facility). Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking Kibale
In the morning you will have breakfast to transfer to Kibale Headquarters for briefing before setting off for a forest for Chimpanzee safari tour. The guided walk in search for chimpanzees. Provides information not only on chimpanzees and primates but also on small organisms making it interesting. The walk will reward you with other primates like Grey cheeked Mangabeys, Colobus monkeys, Red-tailed monkeys, phoestes, and butterflies. After tracking the chimps in the afternoon you will go for a nature walk to the Bigodi swamp- to see unique flora and fauna. Meals and overnight at Kyaninga Lodge (Lodge facility). Day 4: Kibale National Park –Queen Elizabeth Park (Travel time 2hr)
Begin your morning with a visit to the Nyakasura falls in Fort Portal, thereafter drive to drive to the south into Queen Elizabeth National Park, sightseeing and game viewing enroute. After lunch, enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel which connects Lakes Edward and George, for large numbers of buffalo and hippo. Day 5: Queen Elizabeth Park-Ishasha Sector
Dawn game drive in Uganda’s best park, where all the big game can be seen in abundance. Famous for elephant and kob, expect to see some rarer animals like giant forest hog. There are 638 recorded bird species in the park! Later proceed to Ishasha sector where you will take on yet another evening game drive in search of tree climbing lions. Day 6: Ishasha Queen-Bwindi (Travel time 4hr)
Early morning guided bush walk for a closer interaction with nature. The mid-morning will be spent on a game drive for the tree climbing lions. Thereafter head to Bwindi, the journey takes about 2 hours but driving through interesting features. Arrive Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This park is home of the rare mountain gorillas. Apart from gorillas, there are a wide variety of primates to see including the blue and red tailed monkeys. The forest itself is lush and green and there are streams running through it. The afternoon is spent on a foot safari around the local communities living around the park. Day 7: BWINDI Gorilla trekking in Uganda
Begin the day with breakfast ready for trekking, which begins at 8:00 a.m with a briefing from the UWA staff. Ensure to carry along with you rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots etc The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy Primates for a group you have been booked for. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. There are now only 650 left in the world! The tracking may take between 2 and 6 hours but it’s well worth the effort. Day 8: Fly from Bwindi Gorilla trekking Tour – Entebbe Airport (Travel time 2hr)
You have 2 flight options returning from Bwindi, you may choose to catch up a morning flight at 1055 arriving Entebbe 1155 or with the afternoon flight departing Bwindi at 1405 arriving 1505 to Entebbe. Whatever you choose our guide will be ready to transfer you to the Airstrip to catch up your return flight from Bwindi to Entebbe for your onward flight to your next destination.
