Be ready to take on the awe-inspiring experiences at the campus. They include:
1. Self-Guided Tour.
Come experience the many immersive activities in the Conservation Gallery—including a 360 theater and replica of Dian Fossey’s original cabin—and learn about the region’s biodiversity through a network of outdoor trails. Guests may also enjoy light food and beverages at the Gorilla Café and purchase locally-made handicrafts at the gift shop. Pre-booking is not required. A suggested donation of $20 per adult is requested, with all funds going to support our daily conservation efforts. Donations can be made at the time of entry or made in advance. For a limited time, a free hot drink from the Gorilla Café will be included with a donation
2. VIP Behind the Scenes Tour.
Enjoy a full tour of the Ellen campus in Rwanda with a Fossey Fund senior staff member. This option includes the tour of the Conservation Gallery and a behind-the-scenes visit to the science labs to give visitors a greater understanding of the multifaceted work being done to protect the gorillas.
Tours are available at any time of day with the last booking time at 3 p.m., tour time is estimated at 2 hours. This option requires a pre-booking and minimum donation of $800/group
3. Silverback Sundowner.
An evening hour with breathtaking views and Dian Fossey Fund staff at the Ellen Campus in Rwanda! Visitors are invited to tour the gallery and then meet up with gorilla experts in our Virunga Overlook Lounge to share their experiences and answer questions. A fine selection of non-alcoholic drinks, wine, and light snacks are included. The silverback sundowner hour is from 5 pm to 6 pm. This option requires a pre-booking and donation. Minimum donation: $100 per person with a minimum donation of $500 if groups are less than 5 people.
